WANDERINGBONG Logo

Hi, I’m Aaghran and welcome to Wandering Bong.

By profession, I’m a techie working in the Indian IT industry in Bangalore. By passion, I’m a photographer, a storyteller, and a perpetually hungry tinkerer.

This blog is where those two worlds collide. It is a visual archive of my journeys, a repository of my code experiments, and a celebration of the "Lyaadh" (leisure) life.

The Project: Under the Hood (Version 3.0)

While the frontend showcases landscapes and food, the backend is where I flex my engineering muscles.

This blog is my permanent side project—a digital sandbox that keeps me in touch with the ever-evolving world of technology. I didn't want to just spin up a generic WordPress site; I wanted to build.

Wandering Bong is currently running on Version 3.0. It is powered by a custom backend that I designed and developed. It allows me to experiment with new Web Development concepts, practice System Design, and refine my coding skills (specifically JavaScript) outside of my 9-to-5. Every feature you see here is a result of late-night coding sessions and a desire to build something from scratch.

The Origin Story

Life in the tech lane moves fast. This blog is my pause button.

It started as a simple way to document my road trips from Bangalore, but it quickly grew into something more personal. Whether I’m navigating the chaotic traffic of Silk Board or the serene backwaters of Kerala, I’m always looking for a story. I have a soft spot for a vintage and cozy aesthetic, which you’ll see reflected in how I edit my photos and design this space.

My Philosophy: Choti Aankhe, Bade Sapne

(Small eyes, Big dreams).

I don't believe you need to quit your job to see the world. I believe in maximizing weekends, planning smart leaves, and finding beauty in the "in-between" moments.
