We keep coming back to Chalaroste Lanta The Private Resort — nine private bungalows on a hillside in Saladan, a short walk from the 7-Eleven and the cafes, far enough that the work block is rain on the rooftop and cicadas, not Long Beach.
November 2025: the villa rooftop was the office when the Andaman storms rolled in. The pool never felt crowded. May and the family run the place like a house.
This is not a first-night-off-the-ferry crash pad. It is the stay after you decide to live on Lanta for a week. The full circuit — Klong Dao swims, Old Town, the southern scooter run — is in the nomad post.
